The Energy Problem
The world is growing more and more hungry for energy. By 2035 global demand for energy may shoot up by more than one third, according to the World Energy Outlook 2012 (click on world energy outlook 2012 executive summary below), the International Energy Agency's flagship publication. According to Industry leaders British Petroleum and Exxon Mobile, that number will be closer to 61% and 60% respectively (For more information, click on BP and Exxon World Energy Outlooks below). Whichever number one chooses to believe, it is clear that the World will need a lot more energy than is currently being produced and used. So where is this extra energy going to come from?
